Every number that matters, in one place you can trust.

Built by people who've run restaurants — and know which numbers actually matter.

Overhead Analytics aggregates every system you operate on into one place, then filters down to what an operator actually needs to see. Sales, labor, food costs, expenses, guest feedback — in language you already use. The signal, without the noise.

Operators see what changed this week — not next month.

Built for the way restaurants actually work.

Operators don't need another dashboard. They need answers — fast, trustworthy, and in language they already use. Here's what that looks like in practice.

One screen, every location

Sales, labor, food costs, expenses, and guest feedback for every restaurant you run — pulled together automatically, refreshed continuously.

Plain English, not pivot tables

Reports speak the language of operators, not analysts — and AI reads them with you, so you don't have to interpret alone. PPA, check average, SPLH, food cost, prime cost — the vocabulary you already use.

Built for the people running the restaurant

Designed by operators for operators. Fast on the go, deep on a desktop in the corporate office.

Rack and stack your locations

Compare every location against each other and against its own history — rolling 30 days, same period last year, your own targets. Whether you run one location or an entire enterprise, same workflow, same speed.

What's in the product.

Sales reporting
See sales by location, category, day part, and channel — trended over time and compared against last year. Built around the way restaurant people already think about sales.
Labor reporting
Track labor cost, SPLH, and hours by department and job code across every location. Spot the drift before it shows up on your P&L.
Cost & purchasing visibility
Pull purchasing and inventory data from your back office alongside your sales so you can see food cost and labor cost the way they actually move — week over week, not just at month-end.
Reviews
Pull every review into one place, let AI read them for you, and respond directly without leaving Overhead. Sentiment and themes per review, alongside the sales and labor data they actually correlate with — no more bouncing between platforms.
Revenue center reporting
Your POS lumps sales into broad buckets. Overhead lets you define the channels that actually matter for your brand — Catering, Private Dining, Bar, Patio, Takeout, Third Party, and more. You set the rules once, Overhead applies them to every check going forward, correctly and automatically.
Interactive dashboards
A visual overview of your key data points — across one location or all of them. Click into any tile to drill into the full report. Less reading, more seeing.
Integrations & mapping
Connect the systems you already run on and map them once — fiscal calendars, departments, and revenue centers all set up the way your business works. Every location and every brand compared apples-to-apples from that point forward.
AI report analysis
Shipping Next
One click on any report gets you a plain-English read of what the data is telling you. Trends, outliers, and what's worth looking at — written for an operator, not an analyst.
Trend view
Coming Soon
See how any metric — sales, labor, food cost, check average — has actually moved. Against last year, against your targets, across locations. The view your POS doesn't give you.
Fraud detection
Coming Soon
Catch suspicious activity at the location level before it adds up. Voids, comps, discounts, and cash handling — surfaced and explained.

Who it's for.

Whether you're closing out a Sunday night at one store or looking across an entire enterprise on a Monday morning, Overhead is the same tool. What changes is the question you're asking.

Single-unit operators

Running one restaurant.
Sales, labor, food costs, expenses, and reviews for your store — on your phone, in plain English. No more logging into five systems to figure out how last week went, and no spreadsheets to maintain. You see what's working, what's slipping, and what's worth your time today.

Multi-unit operators

Running a group of restaurants.
Rack and stack your locations against each other — and against their own history. Rolling 30 days, same period last year, your targets. Spot the store that's drifting before it shows up in your month-end. Same data your GMs are looking at — just one level up, with the context you need to coach.

Corporate

Running the brand.
Aggregate every location into one operating picture, then drill into any store, any week, any category. Built for the operators, ops, finance, and marketing teams making the calls that move the whole portfolio — without waiting on anyone to pull the data.

You shouldn't need a data team to understand your own restaurants.

For most operators, getting a clear picture of the business meant hiring someone to pull it together — or spending hours doing it yourself across half a dozen platforms. That's not a data problem. That's a tools problem. Overhead is the fix.

About

We built Overhead because no one else was building the tool restaurant operators actually needed.

One tool. Every answer.

One of our founders ran multi-unit restaurants for 15 years — on both sides of the franchise table, as a franchisee and a franchisor. He spent more hours than he wants to admit logging into half a dozen systems just to figure out how the week went. The other spent his career building software at companies like Workday and Deloitte, designing tools for the people who actually have to use them.

They started working on Overhead together because the problem wasn't unique — every operator they knew was solving it the same painful way. A product person and a restaurant person, building one tool that would save operators a lot of late nights.

Built by operators, for operators
Every feature gets stress-tested against a real restaurant before it releases. If it doesn't make an operator's day easier, it doesn't release.
In language you already use
Reports use the vocabulary of a kitchen and a dining room — PPA, check average, SPLH, food cost, prime cost — not the vocabulary of a BI tool.
Built to earn trust, not assume it
We show you where the numbers come from. We explain what they mean. And when our AI doesn't know something, it says so. No analyst dashboard theater.

Frequently asked questions

Which POS and back-office systems does Overhead connect to?

Today we integrate with Revel and Toast (POS) and MarginEdge (back office). If you're running a different system, ask us — we're prioritizing new integrations based on what our customers actually use.

How is Overhead different from the reporting built into my POS?

Your POS only knows what happens at the register. Overhead connects your POS to your back-office data, surfaces trends across time and locations, and gives you AI-driven analysis on every report — so you're not just seeing last week's numbers, you're understanding what they mean and what to do about it.

How long does it take to get set up?

Most operators are up and running within a few days. You connect your systems, do a one-time mapping of your departments, revenue centers, and fiscal calendar, and Overhead handles everything from there. No consultant required, no ongoing maintenance on your end.

Can I rack and stack my locations — and compare them to their own history?

That's exactly what Overhead is built for. Compare any location against the rest of your group or drill into a single store against its own rolling history — 30 days, same period last year, or against the targets you've set. The comparisons that used to take a spreadsheet and an hour now take one click.

Can different people on my team see different locations?

Yes. Permissions in Overhead are set at the user level — each person sees only the locations they're supposed to see. Admin access for settings and user management is a separate permission layer, so your GMs can have full visibility into their store without touching anything else.

Can I respond to guest reviews directly in Overhead?

Yes. Reviews are pulled into one place and you can respond to them directly from Overhead — no need to log into each platform separately. AI reads the reviews for you, surfaces sentiment and themes, and you can act on them right there alongside your sales and labor data.

Can I track Catering, Third Party delivery, or Private Dining separately from regular dine-in?

Yes — and this is one of the things Overhead does that your POS can't. You define your own revenue centers (Catering, Bar, Patio, Takeout, Third Party, Private Dining, and whatever else your brand needs), set the rules once, and Overhead applies them to every check going forward. You get a clean channel-level breakdown that actually reflects how your business operates, not just what your POS happens to call things.

How does pricing work?

Month-to-month, autopay, no annual lock-in. Pricing is based on the number of locations you run and the integrations you need. Book a demo and we'll quote you on the call — it's a 30-minute conversation, no pressure.
